Song of the Day (Saturday)

Today’s song is Saturday, strangely more appropriate for early to mid-week than any other time.  I wrote it one Tuesday when I was really annoyed with myself because no matter how good the day was, I was always waiting for work to be over, for the end of the day or the weekend.  It’s one of the things that I find really bothers me about the way people (myself included live) and it’s a minor songwriting theme for me.

I recorded this lateish last night, once my sickness harried voice had a chance to recover mostly, and I didn’t do much with it.  Still experimenting with drums a bit, though the dumbek sounds a bit odd with some of these songs… and I haven’t included those tracks in any of these recordings, since… something’s not working right with them.  It’s like the drum track is slightly, but not consistantly behind.  It’s something to keep poking at anyway.
